BETHANY HAMILTON - A HAMILTON PARODY

Some frames from the Bethany Hamilton (an Alexander Hamilton parody) music video that I directed and edited for Bethany Hamilton’s new children’s book Surfing Past Fear. This was a new challenge for me. Originally we had the idea to just film this inside a local theater, but after some difficulties trying source a theater that was available for such a production. We quickly had to reevaluate the project. After stumbling across an Imagine Dragon’s music video “Sharks”, I became inspired by the art style. From that point on, I decided, “why not just animate the whole thing.” Given the timeline and the budget of this project, I’m super happy with the final result and I had a hell of a time working on this one.
